Choosing the right wig is about more than selecting a style. Fit, cap size, construction and overall proportion all play a major role in how natural your wig will look and how comfortably it will wear. At The Hair Source, we strongly recommend a consultation before purchasing your wig or booking an installation.
Why a consultation matters
An incorrect wig size can affect the entire finish of the unit. If a wig is too large or too small, it may not sit flat against the head, which can create bumps, lifting or an unnatural silhouette. It can also alter where the hairline falls and affect the overall shape of the style once installed.
This is especially important for pixie wigs. Short hair is far less forgiving than long hair. With a pixie, the cut, nape, crown and sides are all visible, so the fit must be right. Even small sizing issues can impact the final look and require additional adjustments during installation.
Why this matters for installations
When a wig does not fit properly, installation becomes more time-consuming and more complex.
