OVERVIEW
At The Hair Source, we are committed to delivering your order safely, swiftly and securely. We work with trusted, industry-leading couriers DHL Express for international orders and DPD Local for domestic UK deliveries to ensure your wig arrives in perfect condition and on time.
Please read our shipping policy carefully before placing your order. By completing a purchase on our website, you agree to the terms outlined below.
1. ORDER PROCESSING & PRODUCTION TIME
All wigs at The Hair Source are handcrafted to order. This means that once your order and payment have been confirmed, your wig will be individually made to the specification shown on the product listing.
Production Time: Please allow 10 working days from the date of payment confirmation for your wig to be made before it is dispatched.
Orders placed on weekends or UK public holidays will begin production on the next working day.
You will receive an order confirmation email once your purchase is complete and a dispatch notification with tracking information once your wig has been completed and handed to our courier.
Please note that production time is separate from and in addition to the shipping transit times outlined in Section 2 below.
Example: If you place your order on a Monday, your wig will be dispatched on or around the 10th working day, after which the relevant shipping transit time applies.
Please ensure your delivery address is correct at the time of ordering. The Hair Source cannot be held responsible for orders delayed or lost due to an incorrectly submitted delivery address.

3. DELIVERY TIMEFRAMES
All estimated delivery times are provided as a guide only and are calculated from the date of dispatch, not the date of order. Whilst we and our courier partners make every effort to meet these estimates, delivery times may be affected by (a) customs and import clearance procedures, (b) local public holidays in the destination country, (c) severe weather conditions, (d) high-volume periods such as holidays and sale events, and (e) circumstances beyond our or our courier's reasonable control.
The Hair Source does not guarantee delivery within the stated timeframes and cannot be held liable for delays caused by the above circumstances or any other factors outside of our direct control.
4. TRACKING YOUR ORDER
All orders, both domestic and international, are sent with full tracking. Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your tracking number and a link to track your parcel in real time via the DPD or DHL tracking portal.
If you have not received your tracking information within 10 business days of placing your order, please contact us at hello@thehairsource.co.uk.
5. CUSTOMS, DUTIES & IMPORT TAXES
International Orders
Orders shipped outside of the United Kingdom may be subject to customs duties, import taxes and handling fees levied by the destination country's customs authority. These charges are entirely outside of The Hair Source's control.
Please be aware of the following:
Customs charges are the sole responsibility of the customer and are not included in the product price or shipping cost paid at checkout.
The Hair Source is legally required to declare the full value of goods on all customs documentation. We are unable to falsify, undervalue or misrepresent the contents of any parcel under any circumstances.
Customs processes can cause delays beyond our estimated delivery times. The Hair Source cannot be held responsible for such delays.
If a parcel is refused or unclaimed by the customer due to customs charges, any return shipping costs incurred will be deducted from any applicable refund.
We strongly recommend that you research the import regulations and potential charges applicable in your country before placing your order.
6. FAILED DELIVERIES & RETURNED PARCELS
If a delivery attempt is unsuccessful, our courier partners will leave notification of the attempt and provide instructions for rescheduling delivery or collecting the parcel from a local depot.
It is the customer's responsibility to arrange redelivery or collection within the timeframe specified by the courier.
If a parcel is returned to us due to a failed delivery, incorrect address, or failure to collect, the customer will be responsible for covering the cost of re-shipping the order.
The Hair Source is not liable for parcels that are lost, stolen or damaged after a successful delivery has been confirmed by the courier.
7. LOST OR DAMAGED PARCELS
If your parcel arrives damaged or you believe your order has been lost in transit, please contact us as soon as possible at hello@thehairsource.co.uk with the following information: (a) your order number, (b) your tracking number, (c) a description of the issue, and (d) photographs of any damage to the parcel or product.
We will liaise with the relevant courier on your behalf to investigate and resolve the issue. Please note that courier investigations can take up to 10 business days to conclude.
Damage claims must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. Claims submitted after this period may not be accepted.
8. SHIPPING OF MULTIPLE ITEMS
If you order multiple items, they will be shipped together in one parcel where possible. In the event that items need to be shipped separately, you will be notified and will not be charged additional shipping fees unless expressly agreed upon in advance.
9. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
The Hair Source reserves the right to update or amend this Shipping Policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage customers to review this policy periodically.
