A Note on the Coily Texture

The deep coily wave texture on the Rangoon is a natural characteristic of the raw Burmese hair and requires moisture-rich care to maintain its definition, bounce and longevity. We recommend:

• Wash gently using a sulphate-free shampoo and a deeply moisturising conditioner. Coily textures are thirsty by nature and respond beautifully to rich, hydrating products.
• Detangle carefully using your fingers or a wide-tooth comb only, working from the ends upward. Never detangle a coily texture with a brush.
• Diffuse dry using a blow dryer with a diffuser attachment on a low heat setting to enhance curl definition and maximise volume. Alternatively, allow the wig to air dry naturally on a wig stand.
• Apply a lightweight curl cream or leave-in conditioner to damp hair before drying to define and hold the coil pattern.
• Refresh the curls between washes with a light mist of water and a small amount of curl cream, scrunching upward to re-activate the coil pattern.
• Store on a wig stand to preserve the volume, shape and silhouette of the style when not in use.
